KRABI, Thailand Holidays

Date of visit: 30 August, 2011 – 1 September, 2011

Holidays in Thailand once more~

I have been to Thailand once when I was much younger with my family to Bangkok, second was to Chiang Mai with my Dearest for my Birthday in 2010. This time round, it was to Krabi, Thailand.

When you hear of Krabi, you can think of three S’ ; Sun, Sand, Sea. That was exactly what we had plus loads of fun. This trip was booked thanks again to my lovely dearest last year.

The above are return tickets for 2 from KLIA, LCC Terminal to Krabi International Airport. Tell me where to find such cheap flights other than AirAsia~

All that remains was to book the hotel, the transport and we are good to go. It wasn’t until May 2011, just 2 months away from our trip that we decided to book the hotel.

Generally, from May – October is usually the low season for Krabi Island. Some might refer to it as the Off-season as the weather usually entails Monsoon rain in certain parts of Island.

What you might enjoy
- Lower Hotel Rates
- Less crowded, anywhere
- Locals are more relaxed, helpful
- Perhaps even a great time for that long-undone jungle trekking due to heavy crowds
What you might Not Enjoy
- Unpredictable weather, it can rain for several days and totally ruin your mood/plans/both
- Certain activities especially water related may be limited. Some boatmen may not want to go out to sea if tides are heavy

Nevertheless, Krabi’s economy thrives a lot on tourism, the people are always coming up with ways to help you. The local agents are always reassuring you of the weather and even offering a refund if bad weather disallows your plans. One of them even pulled out his Smartphone to show me the weather forecast! How time and technology has changed the way businesses are done.

Details of the trip to follow suit in the next coming days…. Hopefully
