Our first stop when arriving in Ipoh, Perak is the Big Tree Stall 大树脚. There are 2 ‘shops’ next to each other, one is 大树头 & the other 大树脚. 大树脚 is the stall right at the corner of the street under a huge tree, hence the name. Places are quite limited and always packed hence most of the diners continue next door at 大树头. Looks a little cleaner with tiled flooring.
Here you can have a choice of ‘Yong Tau Foo’ means Stuffed Bean Curd / Stuffed Toufu. But generally choices have increased over the many years now ranging from Bean curd, to long beans, brinjals, chillies etc.

If the Yong Tau Foo is not your cup of tea, there are a few more stalls for your palate:
I’m not too sure what is their operating hours, but breakfast and lunch is generally very packed, parking space is limited as well. Do take note of this and choose a non-peak hour to come here for your meal.
