The Raya holidays for this year coincides with the National Independence Day, so it was a 3 day off from Tuesday to Thursday. We decided to go for a Food trip up north to Ipoh. Hotel availability – Checked Itinerary – Checked It is said that to go on a food trip in Ipoh, and you have a local friend / guide with you, you can experience up to 8 meals in a single day or more if you are capable. Our Itinerary as follows: |
7am | – Wake up and Grab McD along the highway R&R (First breakfast) |
9.30am | – Reach Ipoh, Look for Big Tree Stall ‘大树脚’(Second breakfast) |
In Between | – Sight seeing at D.R. Seenivasagam Park (Japanese Garden) |
11.30-12pm | – Purple Cane Tea House (Lunch) |
2pm | – Check in at De Hotel (Take a Nap) |
5 – 6pm | – Look for Ipoh Tauge Chicken Rice (Early Dinner) |
8pm – 10.30pm | – Lost World of Tambun (Hot Spring) |
10pm onwards till late | – Tong Sui Kai (Supper) |
7am | - Wake up for Dim Sum (Breakfast) |
8- 9am | - Visit Sam Poh Tong Temple 三寶洞 (Sight seeing & Buy Pomelo) |
For those who want a little more, you could squeeze in a tea time snack before going for dinner. Which was our original plan as well, but the comfy bed at the hotel told us to do otherwise.
