GENTING: First World Hotel

If you are planning to have an overnight trip in Genting Highlands, there are quite a few options for your selection:

Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort At the foothill of Genting, near cable car station
First World Hotel 3 Star Hotel (We stayed here)
Theme Park Hotel 3 Star Hotel
Maxims Genting Luxury (RM1,200/night onwards)

We stayed at First World Hotel which is one of the more popular choices among many. For frequent customers of Genting, they usually earn points for their member card by participating in the Casino, and are accumulated then traded for goodies, items, and even Rooms.

Step 2: Proceed to counter/kiosk to check in

If rooms are available, they will be able to check you in early. We arrived around 10.30am and manage to get a room so we can settle down our luggage and enjoy the rest of the day.

View of room (World Club)

The impression of the room was a little different from my last visit, as I remember it being ‘nicer looking’.

Upon leaving the next day, the management has set up check-out kiosks for the convenience of many. Without having to waste time at reception, we can quickly deposit the room keycard and just walk away. For those of you thinking to abuse the system by stealing major room items, please do so and let me know the consequences. I have never tried it, and don’t intend to do so.
