This time round, our trip to Genting was with my Dear’s cousins and their kids. The kids have never ride on a cable car before so it was a good opportunity to let them have some fun and experience of it.
As before, kindly refer to here for directions, ticket prices, and operating hours. Prices and operating hours are subject to change so please check the site for updated info. Operations may halt if weather conditions do not permit.
We bought 6 one way tickets to Genting for RM30 (RM5/pax), regardless adult or children.
The cable cars seldom stop for passengers but they do slow down almost to a standstill enough for passengers to hop aboard. If you are travelling with senior citizens, you can request for them to hold the cable car for only a brief moment.
The kids enjoyed it, well the ones who were loud and noisy was obviously fearless, and the ones who sat still without uttering a word was perhaps a little scared. It was a nice experience as it too has been quite a while since I sat the cable car.
You could feel the breeze of the cold mountain air coming in from the windows. For a moment, someone let loose an ‘air bomb’ that nearly killed all the passengers in my gondola. Nevertheless we arrived safely.
